Hate Mail
I proudly present my first-ever anonymous hate-mail, electronic or otherwise. I received this absolute hilarious gem in my personal hotmail email box today:
BLAMING OTHERS FOR UR PROBLEMS IS NOT GOING TO SOLVE ANYTHING DON’T U HAVE THE GUTS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILTY FOR URSELF? BE A MAN AND NOT A COWARD BY HIDING BEHIND OTHERS FAULTS OR WORDS
TUJHE S_____ KI KASAM…AB BHI PYAR KARTA HAI NA? TERI POLL KHULVA SAKTA HOON. IN THIS THING IT IS ONLY U AND 1 MORE PERSON. DON’T TRY TO BRING ANYONE ELSE INTO IT

As expected, it was anonymous and emailed to me from a Yahoo account; under a possible pseudonym Nachiket Phadnis (I have not known anyone carrying either name). Although I found it in my junk folder, the use of my ex-girlfriend’s name made it real. Upon cursory analysis, it is surely some frustrated soul back in India, neither too good with his English nor well-versed in email etiquette, possibly a newbie to the Internet. In spite of the numerous friends and well-meaning acquaintances, I have unwittingly rubbed some people the wrong way; not that I care.
Although meant to intimidate or scare me, it resulted in making me laugh since the guy is digging up dirt which is history and the poor soul seems to be caught in a time warp. I couldn’t resist replying with a thankful note for making me laugh. Honestly he did. I hope he replies; just to see where the whole thing goes. Somewhere deep down, I would like to know the identity of the bugger; just to satisfy my curiosity.
