After buying off Writely, a web-based word processing application Google is developing a web-based spreadsheet app. Google is definitely encroaching on Microsoft territory.

Interesting article; thanks for posting the link. I’m not sure about how many average users will benefit from an online spreadsheet, though. As the article pointed out, it seems to have a very limited application for now.
