DesiPundit down

I just got a ‘domain suspended‘ message (again!) from Lunarpages for DesiPundit. I have contacted them and hope to hear from them soon. I hope we can get back soon.

Update#1: Incidentally, Lunarpages, the hosting provider thinks that we are hogging too many resources on their server and wants us to go in for a dedicated server. Although our popularity is slowly rising, I still don’t think we are responsible for any resource-hogging on Lunarpages crappy servers. We will be moving to a new hosting provider (already in motion) but DNS propogation might take time (Madman can safely say, I told you so). We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.

Update#2: DesiPundit is back up again. We moved to Total Choice Hosting. It may take a while (24-72 hours depending where you are) for you to access the site.

Um, also hate to tell you that your nameservers are still the LunarPages ones. The domain won’t shift till that changes.

Alright! It is back up now…at least for me. May take for rest of the world to catch up ;)

Madman, I hope you know what this means…If TCH screws up, I blame you.

I’m still landing at LunarPages :(

Lady Writer, give it some time…DNS settings take a while to propogate. It should be fine now.

I dont think moving to total choice is the solution.

I had the same problem as DP did a couple of months back.

A lot of headache and research later, I found the solution on a discussion board.

The gist of the solution is that u should run the plugin WP-cache. This will make your pages static unless there is some new change in the page, as in a comment added.

I did this and found a dramatic decrease in resource usage.

Moving to Total choice….i guess u r still on a server box that hosts various sites.

Unless you are on a dedicated server, its only a matter of time before the host gives u a boot.

Try the WP-cache plugin for sure. its a must.

Arzan, Madman recommended it too and have it installed now. We don’t have that much activity yet to justify a dedicated server.

I agree with arzan. I run my site on a dedicated box and WP-cache made a huge difference. I am surprised that WP doesn’t add it to the base install as that would save billions of CPU cycles worldwide, everyday!
