Blogger Ban Back?
…and this time, it might be in this part of the world. Yup, Uncle Sam might be censoring blogs…for government employees. A Gates of Vienna reader tipped them off from within the Department of the Interior.
Yesterday the U.S. Department of the Interior installed blocking
software on their entire network. Gates of Vienna is now blocked, as
are all sites with a .blogspot URL [source].
Strangely, it seems that mostly conservative blogs are facing the block and DailyKos is still accessible. I wouldn’t expect that with a conservative government incharge and especially so with this administration. I suspect the “blocking software” isn’t configured right. Let us see how this story develops. Out here, it can create a far bigger ruckus than it ever did in India.
