Nerve Endings Firing Away

David Beckham signed a contract to move to LA Galaxy last year and signed off from Real Madrid on a high note by winning the Spanish League. I am no real follower of football (or soccer) and merely tune into the World Cup hoopla every four years. But anything with Beckham makes news even with those who have never seen a football game in their life, like some folks in my office. The move to LA certainly got people talking especially because of the media’s interest in digging up more celebrity gossip thanks to his equally famous spouse, or should I say Spice.

So Beckham is all set to cross the Atlantic and the media blitzkrieg is starting. New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush and future L.A. Galaxy star David Beckham met in Madrid for the first down in Beckham’s blitz on American media. The two swapped uniforms and tried out one another’s moves in a new campaign from Adidas called Futbol meets Football. So naturally the picture of Beckham in an American Football uniform must be shared and laughed at. Kindly oblige. The things you have to do for your sponsors…sigh! Let the circus begin.
