Okay, this answers my questions! Perhaps you should link the cruise posts to each other so that people know it’s part of a series. Looking forward to reading the rest – sounds like loads of fun and food! I’ve never been on a cruise, and sometimes wonder if we should try one – what you write might be the clincher!!

Supremus, that’s cool that Carnival arranged for your folks to have Indian food on all nights. I’ve heard good things about the Alaskan cruise as well although it would be quite different from the Caribbean one.

I did a 4 day cruise with family through Carnival to Carribean. It was fun allright, and best of all my folks were served Indian food all nights which is what they wanted.

The next cruise (or the only one I want to do next!) is the alaskan cruise.

Michelle, awww! I’m sure you’ll like my focused posts on specific things better than the minute-by-minute travelogue. Things sometimes settle down to a routine on a cruise albeit with different activities.

Amit, no re baba! I meant about wearing bikinis or perhaps speedos in case of men. And yup, there are a few options if you are vegetarian but you’re missing out if you are. More on that in a later post.

You mean they should go au naturale, i.e. birthday suits? ;) How about vegetarian food? Are there enough choices, or will vegetarians have to eat salad and fries?

Darn it. I was actually hoping for a day-by-day account till I read your last paragraph:

1. I enjoy your minute descriptions
2. We’re thinking of going on a first-time cruise ourselves (in the near or far future) and would love a blow-by-blow account.
3a. I have been on cruisecritic a bit, and I read the line-ups to board at the beginning are horrendous, was that the case for you?
3b. Any tips/suggestions?
3c. You could just do a play-by-play and not have to anser these q’s!!
