Buying Votes with Taxpayer Money
Free color TVs, 25 kg of rice at Rs.2 (why not free?), three per cent interest rate for farmers, journalists, women’s self help groups, potters, handloom weavers, fishermen and shepherds, and waiving of loans under Ashraya and Awaz Yojana schemes. Heck, why not? After all, taxpayer money = baap ka paisa. By the way, why journalists in that three-percent-scheme?
