I want to believe

Under the large shadow of The Dark Knight, another movie inspired from one of my favorite TV shows of all time releases today. Strangely as the TV series ran through the early 90s, the supporting character gained a more popular following than the protagonist. Never mind, you kids wouldn’t remember.

    I remember!

damn that makes me feel like such an old fogey now !!

the “get-it-on” seasons pretty much did it for me , and the X-files movie was a SAD reminder of what we had lost. we get the X-Files old series on Rerun on Zee-Cafe. Thank God for sanity in an insane world !

A friend of mine and I loved Scully too. But obviously we had a crush on Mulder.

Anderson was on Leno last week and the audience cheered for her like I’ve rarely seen. It was cute :)

Neel, makes me feel old too. Ash had never seen X-Files and had to read up the Wiki to get an idea why the heck was I so enthu.

Sampada, likewise for us guys about Scully. The perfect geek rational woman! However, once Scully and Mulder got together, half of the X-Files magic vanished. The whole allure was in the unsaid between-the-lines attraction (and respect) between them.

Yep – X-Files was fun till they got together. And like all other series, this one kept dragging on and on too. But yes, if any series had built up a cult like following before LOST, it had to be X-Files (and perhaps it did have a even bigger cult).
