Welcome Home Ronnie

My brother sends me pictures of our newest pet – Ronnie. This one however lives in India and is the offspring of our other older dog, Max.  Ronnie is named after our very first dog who was a stray we picked up from the streets. He stayed with us for a long time before he passed away.

Ronnie is a Doberman and Rottweiler mix so don’t let those cute looks fool you. He is going to grow up to be a terrific deterrent for those uninvited guests and yet another source of terror for our poor invited guests. I already sense the trepidation in my sister-in-law’s voice when we talked about this latest pet acquisition. She was scared of our other docile dogs so perhaps this mix wasn’t exactly the right one to get her used to dogs. But I’m sure Ronnie will feel right at home; after all he is the third generation of his ancestral line in our home.

Rotties are really very sweet usually! I’m sure he will get lots of love and affection and be very affectionate in return.

Every time I visit India I have to be pulled away from the strays. I want to bring them all home…

Am really enjoying your blog :)

Memsaab, I’m sure he will be great. After all, we have had Dobermans and they have been gentle although quite intimidating to the stranger. We don’t mind that :)

Glad you are enjoying this blog. I’ve been a bit infrequent due to academic and professional commitments but really want to get back to full steam.
