Best of Bollywood Blogs

I was invited by Six Apart’s Blogs.com to make a list of the Best of Bollywood Blogs. The list is now published on their site. To be honest, I had to think hard to come up with a list of exclusively Bollywood blogs and had to ultimately include Jai Arjun and Amrita too for their occassional reviews and thoughts on Bollywood. Neha pointed me toward a couple that I hadn’t read before. Feel free to point out any obvious ones that I missed; I’m sure I did.

The Indian blogosphere is not generally segregated neatly and does not boast of niche blogs. Bloggers with a wide readership tend to write on a host of topics that pique their interest so it is difficult to slot them. Of course, there are a few notable exceptions but to find ten quality blogs in a number of niches would be difficult. Or is it? Food blogs are big, attract a large readership, have devoted fans and an active community. So are blogs on politics. But then again, I would be hard pressed to find more than a dozen.We have plenty of categories in the Indibloggies but for the categories further down the list from Best Blog or Best Humor Blog, there are very few contenders. Perhaps I ought to resume my jaunts through the expanded Indian/desi blogosphere.

    My sidebar contains links to some pretty well-written exclusively-Bollywood blogs ;-) There aren’t a gazillion of us around, I don’t think, but we’re there! And thanks for including me, I do appreciate it.
