I wonder if there would be any organisation which would spring up soon saying they are offended with Lotus as a symbol too.Or a set of medical practitioners saying how the Human Hand might be derogatory to their profession! Wouldn’t that be fun? :D

Probably with three fingers down, the hand symbol would be more reflective of Congress’ message to the voters. No ‘manifesto’ needed.

I’m feeling genuine outrage at the stupidity and offense to human sensibilities that all these religion-champions present – can they all please be banned?
I attended a most insightful panel discussion on ‘Religious Defamation’ yesterday at LSE – my head is buzzing with thoughts about the same, hope to blog about it soon. This ‘religious sensitivity’ issue is gripping the UK in many ways too.

Well UK is a diverse location too in terms of the amounts of religions but then again going ahead and asking the Election commission to ban such symbols is just plain ridiculous.

Would love to hear more about the panel discussion although UK’s behavior in pandering to so-called religious sensitivities is largely to blame as well.
