Nerve Endings Firing Away

President Barack Obama will be coming to College Station tomorrow to join former President George H.W. Bush (senior) to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the vision of a thousand “points of light” at the Points of Light Institute. As expected, College Republicans have planned a protest on campus. Nothing wrong in that except they have a prominent position at Spence Park which is right on the motorcade route. Liberals protesters when Bush arrived last December were relegated to a corner of the campus (remember those ‘free speech’ zones at Republican or Democrat convention venues?) I just hope everyone behaves :) Interestingly 25% of all proceeds (never knew a protest rally was a commercial venture) will be donated to Health for All that sounds something like most Republicans would call socialist.

Unfortunately, the event is invite-only due to heavy demand for tickets and I wasn’t on the invitation list.
