To Hakka or not to Hakka

Already late for my appointment at school, I boiled a quick meal of noodles. First the water wouldn’t boil quick enough and I sincerely hoped that I were at an higher altitude. But it finally did but then it was too hot. I grabbed a spoon to gulp it down. The noodles slid right off. no matter how little I lessened the distance from the bowl to my mouth, I could grab only the slithering end of one slippery noodle. It dawned on me that the spoon might not be such a good idea. I rummaged through our top kitchen drawer. my hands touched few more spoons until I finally found the elusive fork. I wrapped the noodles around in the prongs, blew to cool them off and gobbled off merrily. Hunger terminated.

No offense to Forrest Gump, but life is lot like a bowl of noodles. Not only that its all tangled up but when you want to hurry things up, life takes it own sweet time. Maybe things are just too hot now and you need time to let them cool off. You have the best intention at heart but maybe tackling life with the wrong tool. All your attempts at solving life’s tangles are in vain even if your process is correct but the tool is wrong. Identifying that shortcoming is half the battle won. Searching for the right tool never goes unrewarded, no matter how much time it takes to find that elusive tool. Its all a matter of the tool (now read as perspective). When all the ‘things’ are in place, life clicks. Hunger for life begins.
