The Right People?

LA Times indulges in effusive praise and hard sells Bono, the lead vocalist of U2 for the next World Bank President. It is almost akin to Musharraf being supposedly nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. Both try hard at making their publicized efforts (peace; in case of Musharaf) work, but admit it, it is their part time hobby.

Why go to graduate school if you want to be versed in economics? Just start a rock band that advertises iPods. Rock on, World Bank.

If you thought that was strange, Mallika Sherawat  would be offering her “precious” comments on the Budget 2005 on MTV. Zayed Khan will be at hand offering his “insightful” comments to make you tear out your hair, if you haven’t already. I knew this was coming after Mandira Bedi was previewing the World Cup matches on television, tarot card reader and all. Of course, with Laloo presenting the Railway Budget, anything is possible.

Am I the only one who thinks Mallika Sherawat looks ugly? ESPECIALLY in the picture linked. She looks like a caricature.
