Spaceman – the final frontier

Well, not quite. Meeting Spaceman was similarly long overdue and I don’t assume it is going to be the final time. Ash and Anish accompanied me to a vintage-looking Starbucks in downtown Dunwoody. Spaceman lived only a couple of miles from where I do and we both wondered why it had taken us so long to meet. The small world phenomenon was revisited again when we exchanged stories of our time in Atlanta. It seems he had attended a desi student party in my erstwhile apartment complex and we had a few common friends. He loves Austin Powers and wonders why I don’t in spite of my PJs. We generally talked about movies, things we do for fun, road trips but not so much about blogs. I guess that isn’t surprising since we already are aware of our blogging identities. It was an interesting meetup, Spacey. Lets hope we can get together again sometime soon.

Also, if you are continually frustrated on seeing empty racks of Motorcycle Diaries and chokingly full racks of The Grudge at your local Blockbuster, you might want to raid their evening restocking cart. It is a virtual treasure chest of the movies you want to watch and can’t get your hands on. I picked up Ray and Motorcycle Diaries, a rare double after returning home disappointed on previous occasions. The store clerk also seemed surprised at our catch.

OMG, I have to admit that I’m jealous (no patrix/spaceman, i don’t have a crush on either of you :-)) but I should admit that I’m feeling a little outta-it!!! Alpha sent me links of all the “blogmeets” she’s had (totally her style of rubbing it in like ointment) and I just got done with them and now I read this…Everybody but me seems to have been in the thick of things :(

GratisGab – Don’t worry…give it some time, soon you might have so much blogging/bloggers on your hand that your husb.will be jealous.

Spaceman – Just a play on Star Trek’s signature line: Space – the final frontier. I know a pun has fallen flat when I have to explain it.

OK Patrix. but i wouldn’t bet on the hubby-jealous part. I’m trying to get him to join a dance-class with me and his solution was “Why don’t you enjoy yourself with the others”..he’s the “hold the beer and sway on one spot” variety you see :)…what happened to good-old-fashioned-jealousy????

gabby, Itna kya jealousy…why dont we meet up this week and call it a bloggers meet..both of us will put lovey-dovey posts on the meet and make Patty/Spacey jealous. Before that you better send me a picture of yours so I can recognise you.

ok alps, but no mystery there you know…and according to Yogustus it’ll be like a maa-beti milan …Hee Hee!

Gabby – I guess he hasn’t yet seen insane bloggers meetups. Ask Alpha to send you pics of MBM, DBM, CBM, and HBM (sounds like code names for WMDs)and you will think you are seeing friends in tearful reunion a la post-kumbh mela.

Alpha – I think I can make a safe guess on who will be the maa in that milan ;)

  • alpha

sure alpha can send you all these pics..after all she has NOT been to any of these WMDs.

Yes Patrix, maa kaun hai? Maa hi nahin teri par-naani bhi yaad aayegi.

Alpha – Both of us know maa kaun hai so why hide the fact? :)
