Quit while you are ahead?
The question Indian blogosphere will be asking for the next couple of days: Why did Kiruba Shankar quit? Of course, he has his reasons.
But generally speaking, is blogging still considered a waste of time that people just abandon their blogs at the slighest shift in priorities? Is blogging considered that frivolous that some of the most prolific bloggers have quit in full steam, or they just do not want to get bored of blogging and quit to "savor the times"? While elsewhere bloggers are quitting their jobs and blogging full-time, we are going the other way. If I could I would write a nifty javascript that would calculate how soon you would quit. Better than knowing when you will die.
Heck, I just might join the bandwagon in the future. But not yet.
PS. pssssst…did the pressures of hosting the Mela get to him?
UPDATE: Instapundit says "HANGING UP THE BLOG: I’m not in this place, but I understand. When it’s not fun anymore, it’s time to quit."
UPDATE#2: Kiruba has in fact, pulled off a sick April Fools’ joke.
