Rediffmail lacks common sense?

I experienced a brief downtime for my Bloglines account yesterday. I am totally hooked to Bloglines ever since I started using it regularly and now I wonder how I ever lived without it. Visits to websites or blogs has been minimal now expect to comment on an interesting post. Getting back to downtime at Bloglines, the message was abrupt, saying that my username didn’t exist. WTF? Finally, I realized that I hadn’t accessed my Rediffmail in a while, and the buggers had deactivated my account. Of course, they had sent a pre-deactivation notice couple of months back; to my Rediffmail account.

Great! Why do you ask for an alternate email address when in fact, you send deactivation notices to an account that hasn’t been accessed in months? Doesn’t make sense, does it?
