Nerve Endings Firing Away

Angelina Jolie, in her recent avatar as a UN Ambassador visted Pakistan recently to focus attention on the plight of Afghan refugees. Shaukat Aziz, the Pakistani PM must have had a gala time enjoying a photo shoot with the future Mrs.Pitt. Now I am no one to judge the appropriateness of the choice of Ms.Jolie for being an UN ambassador but they sure know how to get the best babes in Hollywood.

Joel Achenbach, the Washington Post columnists who also writes a largely unnoticed blog says that the most feared words in Hollywood lately are, “Honey, I’m going to be working in a movie with Angelina Jolie”. He writes further (and I completely agree):

“In a world of hotties, Jolie is arguably the most thermonuclear woman on the planet. The lady could melt her way to China. What was Jennifer Aniston thinking when she let her husband work on a sexy thriller with Miss Jolie? A spouse has a right to set certain boundaries. To draw certain lines. Obviously these lines must be reasonable. But let us be frank and admit that it is not unduly unreasonable for a spouse to say, “You may not inhabit the same continent as Angelina Jolie.“

I say get her to India (unless of course, Salma Hayek agrees to come instead) and drape her up in a sari and then watch Mallika Sherawat slink away in shame. Jai Jolie!
