Aaah…Movies..my kind of entertianment besides music and books….Here’s a list of my favorites.. most of which I own…I have tried not to list the more popular/mega blockbusters…I suggest that you read the reviews at IMDB before you make up your mind…here goes..

The Emperor’s club (feel good movie)
The Legend of 1900 (must watch)
A Fish Called Wanda (old, but very funny)
Fierce Creatures (same cast as AFCW, but funnier)
House of sand and Fog (drama, great story, great acting)
Dogma (one of my all time fav)
Finding Forrester (for writers, inspirational)
In the Bedroom (drama, heavy)
The Last Castle (I’m a big robert redford fan)
Legends of the Fall (Robert Redford’s best)
Thirteen Days (The cuban missle crisis..gripping)
Pay It Forward (feel good, inspirational)
Saving Grace (Funny)
Secondhand Lions (funny, feel good, great cast)
The Dish (funny, set in australia must watch the american anthem scene_
The Contender (women in politics, gripping)
Traffic (gripping, you must have watched this one)
Fresh (feel good, gripping)

Lock,Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (same cast as Snatch…hilarious)
O Brother, Where Art Thou? (funny, great music)
Who is Cletis Tout? (funny, heist/caper movie)

Italian for Beginners (romantic comedy)
Birthday Girl (romantic comedy)
Rabbit Proof Fence (must watch, set in the Australian outback)
Frequency (sci-fi..interesting concept)
The Winslow Boy (drama, feel good)
The Thirteenth Floor (sci-fi, came before the matrix)
Nothing to Lose (very funny !)
Held Up (very funny)
Mumford (drama, feel good)
Three Kings (war, drama, comedy)
Enemy at the Gates (war, gripping, good cast)
Windtalkers (war, gripping)
No Man’s Land (war, drama)
Das Experiment (psychological thriller..will freak you out)
Mission to Mars (sci fi – liked the concept of how life on earth might have begun)
Red Planet (sci-fi…loved the robot AIMEE)
Brotherhood of the Wolf (action/thriller, french production)

phew…I have more…but this should do for now…enjoy..I remember my summer at Penn State when my roomies and I enrolled at Hollywood Video for unlimited rentals…it was a blast!
