Bo Jeeta Nahee Sikandar
I follow select few programs on TV but unfortunately, I happened to be out of town in season finale week. I missed the finales for 24, House M.D, The Apprentice, and of course, American Idol.
I watched American Idol solely in the hope that at last they would have a wannabe rocker idol. Bo Bice had continued to impress both the judges and the audience in the weeks leading upto the finale. However, the starry-eyed audience voted for ultra sweet country girl Carrie Underwood (I bet that made MadMan happy though). She was good but still had the nerves when it came to performing on stage whereas Bo is an consummate performer and knows to work the room perfectly. If American Idol is what it purports to be, Carrie was a deserving winner because she came from the wilderness of Oklahoma to becoming the toast of the town. Bo would have achieved fame nevertheless; it was just a matter of time. I guess, he still gets a recording contract a la Clay Aiken style.
