Content Creation
“In a normal job, you get paid to do a specific job — and once that job is over, you get paid to do something else. It’s only in the somewhat distorted content creation world where many people seem to think that you just have to do the work once, and you get paid every time it’s used.”
Tech Dirt argues for patron donation model for content creation. This is certainly a far better model than what most content creators wish for. No wonder we have one-hit wonders in the music or software industry that simply put in much less hours work in comparison to the remuneration they receive. As Tech Dirt elaborates, content creators shouldn’t worry about freeloaders who will exploit the system because the creators have already made money from their work.
