Search blogs or ask for a pee break
Considering that everyone is hopping mad and blogging about two recent but unrelated news, I might as well hop on the bandwagon.
First, Google has at last launched its Blog Search engine. Will it spell the end of Technorati as we know it right now; only time will tell. But the search seems pretty nifty and produces quick results. Of course, I couldn’t help but do an ego search. A search on Patrix surprisingly only showed two results in the top ten from my personal blog (rest were cited for DesiPundit). Amit Varma’s India Uncut scores a biggie when it is listed as the solitary ‘related blog’ when you do a search for ‘India’. A search for Desi doesn’t pop up DesiPundit but I hope as our posts (and link-love) increase we should wriggle our way into ‘related blogs’. On a sidenote, I had predicted Blog Search as a potential Google market while talking to my brother before he interviewed with Google. Actually it was pretty obvious considering the ever-growing blogosphere. The Advanced Search option is pretty powerful and varied too.
Second, did you know that Bush needs Condi’s permission before he can go and pee? The caption says that he was at the Security Council meeting at the 2005 World Summit and 60th General Assembly of the United Nations in New York September 14, 2005. To give him the benefit of the doubt, world leaders need to pee too. But why the note?
