Rita Help

I will be posting on Rita Help blog for the next couple of days or until Hurricane Rita passes. Please pass on any information you might have. Drop it in the comments or email me at patrixblogs [at] gmail [dot] com. Maitri in Houston is also blogging at Rita Help. I hope she stays safe. 

I am smack in the middle of the hurricane path and the eye of the storm is expected to pass over College Station. Power and Internet connectivity may be lost over the weekend. If I am still standing, I’ll be back. Ash is on her way to College Station from more vulnerable Houston. Wish us luck.

Update: Ash just got here from Houston after spending almost 9 hours on the road. The 90 mile journey usually takes 1.5-2 hours. Houston is completely gridlocked and mandatory evacuation has not yet been ordered.

    Be safe. Stay away from that Aggie Quik, Country Place and College Main area. Drainage sucks there and it’s low. Good luck!
