Nerve Endings Firing Away

Every time someone comes up with a bunch of code that tempts you to add something more to your already-cluttered sidebar, I wonder if every kind of meme has been tried out first on Live Journal (where they ‘meme’ everything). This latest one, hypothetically calculates the worth of your blog based on your Technorati ranking and inbound links. The big-daddy of all, Boing Boing is worth $9 million. I bet they would sell for a lot more if ever auctioned off. Marginal Revolutions is worth $850,000. 

My little blog is just worth $72K. But heck, I’ll take anything. Immediate and panicky disclaimer: iPatrix.com is not for sale! So do not tempt me (as if anyone would be interested in buying it, hrmph!) On the other hand, my other abode on the blogosphere is almost twice as much. DesiPundit is worth $150K. Thanks to the recently concluded (?) IIPM blog wars and now, Blog Quake Day; it received much attention and probably explains its high value. Even if you don’t add it on your sidebar, I bet you are going to plug in your blog URL to check ‘your’ value.
