Election Day

It is Election Day today all over the United States although this year it is mostly restricted for local government. Texas is voting on Proposition 2 that states, “The constitutional amendment providing that marriage in this state consists only of the union of one man and one woman and prohibiting this state or a political subdivision of this state from creating or recognizing any legal status identical or similar to marriage.

This is in addition to the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) that was passed in 2003. Gosh! Texans sure want to make sure gays and lesbians are denied rights that they are willing to grant even unborn fetuses. But ever notice that the states most likely to ban gay marriage are the ones least likely to have a gay population. Why do they even bother?

“But ever notice that the states most likely to ban gay marriage are the ones least likely to have a gay population.”

Maybe the reality is that since most people in these states are more homophobic, homosexuals are afraid to reveal themselves and therefore the gay population seems much smaller than it really is.

It’s also funny that people in Congress who are all for “supporting marriage” by denying gay marriage usually display an inordinate amount of infidelity and divorces. Not to mention hypocrites like Jeff Gannon who is gay and wrote articles condemning homosexuality. Sometimes the hypocrisy makes you bash your own skull in.

Varun, Or they just tend to move away to more friendly places like San Francisco, New York or Atlanta.

Gawker, Yup! Sanctity of marriage! BS!! Nothing harms marriage more than adultery and most Republican buggers that shout hoarse regards gay marriage are the ones cheating on their wives.
