The Marauder’s Map in realtime

Uber-cool! MIT now has it own Marauder’s Map (Harry Potter lingo) [via]. The map shows where all the students and teachers are in real time. Of course, MIT’s wireless network does this only if you opt in.

To know if your professors are in their office before you visit them may actually help doctoral students graduate quicker :) But students wouldn’t want their professors to know that they are idling away in the quadrangle when they are supposed to be working on their dissertation. Nah! professors don’t care.
