Amazon wants us to procreate now

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or email alerts. Thanks for visiting!

It has hardly been a month since we got married so imagine our surprise when we get this email from Amazon:

It is more surprising because we haven’t registered (or plan to anytime soon) for a baby shower. And what’s more, someone had actually bought something from our imaginary registry. I checked the links and they weren’t spammy and in fact went straight to Amazon’s Baby Registry homepage. We checked if someone had played a prank on us by registering in our name but our names turned up no such registry.

Finally, late last night we received yet another email from Amazon; this time apologizing for the earlier email. This latest email said that they actually meant wedding registry and not baby registry. Phew! They had me scared for a while.

Hey! Don’t bad mouth Amazon! They were just going with the time honored American tradition of baby-first-marriage-later. If you are not diverse enough to respect that, then you are racist here! :P

Hint of things to come, perhaps !

Semantic, be quiet, you liberal. How dare you vilify the values of the heartland. Heil Huckabee!

Pssst…do you have a job offer from Amazon?

Bloghopper, oh no! Don’t you join the parents. If it is up to me and I certainly hope so it is, then it isn’t a hint of things to come at least for a long time.

Ah yes! Huckabee… the one who wants God’s standards to be amended to US constitution’s…. no wait… isn’t it the other way round? Anywayz, it doesn’t matter, the important thing is that God and America are on the same standard, and that standard is better than the rest of the world.

Re: Job offer from Amazon… nope, and there is a reason why I choose to blog under a pseudonym,to insulate myself from such influences. :)

Semantic, Gotcha! After all, God bless America and no place else, right?

  7. Patrix Says:

Cynic, you just might be right. Or just another way of goading you into procreating so they can sell you more stuff.
