Ash and I were picking up a movie at Blockbuster when a little girl no more than 3 years old and 2 feet tall came wailing towards us. She headed straight towards me, crying out “Daddy”. For a moment, I blanked out until her poor embarrassed mom came to fetch her.
Later on, I saw her dad. He was wearing similarly colored shorts. The poor baby naturally still bases her recognition skills purely on objects at her eye-level.

I have a bad feeling about the second paragraph. Who is “he”?
