Futility of banning pro-Tibet protests in India

Note to the Indian government -
you do not ban pro-Tibetan protests in a region that is claimed by China but lies within the legitimate borders of India especially if it is a peaceful protest. Given your fascination for the man during election time, the father of the nation would never have approved. In fact, you should covertly encourage such protests. By refusing to ban the pro-Tibetan protests in other parts of India but banning them in regions sensitive to China, you lose the credibility gained by the first action. So if you claim to be competing with China then the first step would be not letting it trample on your sovereignty.
Also, Mr.Foreign Minister (and recent Padma Vibhushan awardee), kindly refrain from ‘warning’ the Dalai Lama to refrain from ‘indulging in politics’ because you’re already guilty of doing the same. And by being a politician, aren’t you also ‘indulging in politics’ on a daily basis? And you wouldn’t do it if it were a bad thing, right?

Harini, And I had appreciated that decision. Until the government banned protests selectively in other parts of the country. Of course, that only makes Pranab Mukerjee more of an ass :)
