Your News, which began a pilot run on Saturday, will feature stories, features and video proving most popular with viewers on TV and the internet.
“Your News will make use of the huge range of material being sent to the BBC by the public, some of which has already provided real newsgathering value.
“Your News will reflect the stories catching our audience’s eye and talk to them directly about the issues they feel really matter.”
BBC News 24 has launched a news program based entirely on user-generated material. This might be construed as Digg-style newsgathering and presentation. This definitely is an experiment and it remains to be seen how this will pan out.

Another example of a news aggregating site was wikinews, and it was expected to duplicate the success of wikipedia, didn’t exactly set the web pulses racing. Though a TV edition having more of video based content run by a very respected news agency might actually be successful.

Piker, I missed meeting up with Jorge as well but got the news the day he was on campus and it was already late. Anyway, don’t fret too much about not meeting up yet. I bet this winter break will give you enough time.
