While all this talk about education qualifications in the house, an thought bubble popped in my mind saying “The Big Boss house is like B-school for struggling wannabes.” Let me explain the analogy. Everyone in the house is there because what they have in life isn’t satisfying them and is looking for a career boost or a career change via Big Boss. Comparing that to a B-school, most of the students are not satisfied with their jobs. Moving on, most of the contestants in the show say they want to make some point but what they really are after is money and the career boost. Similarly, most of the students in a B-school say they are there to learn but what they really mean is - I am looking for a better paying job. There is another interesting parallel that comes to my mind - it’s not necessary that the best student in the B-school gets the highest salary package just like in Big Boss. The winner of Big Boss (Rahul Roy) got nothing compared to what Rakhi Sawant got out of the show in the first season.
There are many such parallels in Big Boss and a B-School. The house is the B-school. The tasks are the weekly assignments. The grading works on 360-degree peer evaluation and the vote-outs are like the semester exams. Any other comparisons you can draw?
