If you are in the U.S. and you have access to high-speed Internet connection, chances are that you can download any episode of a popular show within hours. The luxury of watching it at leisure at your convenience makes it doubly sweet. I will miss watching the Super Bowl ads live but I bet they will be online in no time; you just have to know where to look. Heck, in some crazy act of coincidence, I found this at Adrants just seconds after I typed in the above sentence.
Ever just plop down on the couch watching whatever is on TV or simply surfing channels without rhyme or reason? I bet you do that a lot especially to “take a break” for work or studies and ending up extending your break indefinitely. Productivity takes a hit and not to mention, killing those brain cells for watching inane crap that passes off as television these days.
Creating Passionate Users had this insightful post on curtailing your television habits and by fate or probably economic constraints, I ended up giving their hypothesis a test drive. I completely agree with their conclusions and even recommend you to try them out.

now i know where that young french guy got all his desperate housewives downloads………he thought he was watching it in complete privacy- little did he realize……..i have to admit - the crappy airline movies were a bore- and i was a tad jealous of him…….so thanks for the info.

Is Bittorrent downloading legal (not that it matters) ?
We have DVR at home and I get the same benefits, e.g watch shows at own convenient time and skip ads, albeit at a hefty price !

BongoPundit, I don’t suppose it is legal yet but the lines are blurring. A better option for you would be TiVO…but of course, that needs cable :)
