Newspaper Innovation

The latest offering The NYT TimesReader 2.0 is one of the coolest app I’ve seen from a traditional media company. It is powered by Adobe Air and is styled almost like a print newspaper giving it a friendly familiar feel. SprintCam v3 Results for High-Speed Video

The results from the first SprintCam v3 showreel, made for NAB 2009 exhibition are phenomenal. Shot at 1000FPS with amazing clarity and high-definition, slow motion video has made a quantum leap. The jelly shots are shot at 2500FPS. The role of the third umpire in cricket got a whole lot better.

Swimming World Records – Dime a Dozen

I’m still hoping to see a swimming final in the Beijing 2008 Olympics where a world record is not broken. World record are not broken by a millisecond or so which is usually the case but in some cases by as much as four seconds. In one race, the top five swimmers (4×100 relay) broke [...]

Comcast’s 10 million Pixel Video Wall

This 10 million pixel video wall at the new Comcast Center in Philadelphia is mindblowing. I’m sure the experience in real life must be overwhelming. Don’t miss the embedded videos especially the second one.

Dowloading Knowledge

“Will SCs and STs get to download 30 per cent of the information before the rest of us get a shot?” ROTFL. Prem Panicker on an article that implies that we will be downloading information directly into our brains making schools obsolete and in turn makes the common mistake of confusing information with knowledge.
