It was only couple of days ago that the low in College Station was 62F. And today, it is freezing - hovering around 25F accompanied by sleet. I just had to scape off ice off my windshield before I could drive back home. Gosh! I never thought I would have to do that in Texas. It isn’t expected to get any warmer either. I hope to drive down to Houston in the afternoon when it will be the warmest i.e. 39F. Gah! New Englanders, I offer you my deepest sympathies.

its ‘feels like’ 10F here.. :) but there is lovely powdery snow all around.. the types where you can see which of your roommates has a duck-walk..:)

Sqrl, snow is still fine but hate sleet. Black ice makes driving hell and you can get creamed by some inexperienced drivers esp.in a college town where weather doesn’t get real cold often.

Prerona, thanks for the heads-up! Somehow Texas and snow doesn’t go well together.

its all a conspiracy to keep you in US and not let u escape to sunny Bahrain and then onto to apni matrubhoomi.
Therefore the storm was asked to swing by Texas.
As re: New Englanders…..the guys in the Northern Midwest are already in the -5F range……..minnesota, ND, SD, Montana….
