Lenovo has started a new division “to focus on consumers”. As Techdirt rightly asks, what the heck were they focusing on earlier. PC manufacturers are beginning to feel the heat [probably from overheated batteries] from disgruntled customers and probably hogging marketshare by monolithic companies like Dell has made them a wee bit complacent and arrogant. It is time for a reality check and back to the marketing drawing board.

Apple has started recalling batteries as well (same Sony ones). Interestingly Lenovo also uses Sony batteries[:P]

Yes just like Ford advertises that it is focusing on innovation—something it seems they didnt do before. I wonder—do these kind of marketing news releases fool anyone? Does anyone say:’ Oh wow. Lenovo is now focusing on customers. Let’s buy one of their products.’
