Chetan, actually all those hairdos and shoe colors add up. If you are out to be entertained, then you’ll enjoy JBJ. If you are looking for serious meaningful cinema, you should wait for Bhandarkar’s next movie.

Curiouscat, aaiyoo! don’t spend twenty dollars on any movie. I spent $8. But like you said, if you like Rangan’s reviews, you’ll enjoy it.

Sqrl, aaah! now I get Piker’s point on how Main Hoon Naa was a tribute movie but yet had the illusions of take-me-seriously…well, JBJ doesn’t even pretend to be serious and goes all out to prove you otherwise with its funky music, ridiculous lyrics (except for Bol Halke Halke), and fundoo costumes that we so associate with Bollywood.

i had LOVED main hoon na, and saw it as a complete tribute movie..( what with the dhanno chase and lost bhai..) lesson learnt from movie: if you’re an only son, and ur name is lakshman, you shd start asking some questions..

But frankly, one tribute movie is enough. But maybe will give this one a try on a boring Saturday afternoon..

Ok, Patrix, you sold me…I am going to try and watch this. But if it turns out that you conned your readers into spending the twenty dollars or so that you did, then we will have to think of a suitable way to extract revenge. We’ll see about that. (But I feel the same way as you about Rangan’s reviews)

We were thinking of skipping JBJ—for those whacky cuckoo feathers, horrible hairdos and repulsive shoe colors—giving it a look of some phatichar movie, and buy the OST instead—I’ll believe when you say the music is a foot-tapper (from the TV previews I’ve seen).

Thanks for the review, we won’t forego it now.

Piker, Main Hoon Na was a tribute movie? I don’t think so. JBJ might elicit strong and extreme reactions from both ends but frankly those who really love it will hardly give a damn to those who don’t. Why? Coz they would have had plenty of fun watching it instead of dissecting it. That said, it isn’t even your keep-your-brains-at-home Govinda-type caper.

Also, watching it at home on a pirated DVD with inferior sound and visuals will do no justice either. It is a movie experience instead of just a movie. Like I mention, the plot doesn’t matter.

Are you serious? I’ve even heard some friends of mine saying that it is a really crappy movie. When I pointed out that review by Rangan to a friend of mine, he couldn’t believe that it was written seriously. :)

Bollywood tribute movie, huh? Is it more like Main Hoon Na then? If so, I wouldn’t really be interested.
