Police in Berlin said on Wednesday they had arrested two men on suspicion of placing cement-filled soccer balls around the city and inviting people to kick them [source].
However funny that might seem, I really feel sorry for the poor victim who fell for the trick. But in a city counting down to the climax of the football fever, I wouldn’t blame the victims. Viral marketing has reached tremendous heights and every ad manager is thinking of weird stuff to peddle their stuff. In this case, however the perpetrators were rightfully caught and sentenced.
