I saw Kinsey couple of days back. Freaky! Mostly, I am not a prude but seeing this dude sleep with his male research assistant, let his wife sleep with him too, and then talking about masturbation at the dinner table was too much for me too. The dude should have lived in Kamasutra times. Interesting movie though; give it a shot but not in front of your kids.
One of his books finds its way into ‘The Ten Most Harmful Books of the 19th And 20th Century’. Now, I’ll take that with a pinch of salt considering the list was compiled by a conservative journal. If a book is ‘harmful’, don’t read it…simple!

Thanks for the link to the ‘harmful books’ list, and the accompanying commentary. This one on John Dewey’s ‘Democracy and Education’ is, well, …, educational:
“… he disparaged schooling that focused on traditional character development and endowing children with hard knowledge, and encouraged the teaching of thinking “skills” instead. His views had great influence on the direction of American education–particularly in public schools–and helped nurture the Clinton generation”.

Abi - When I saw books by Charles Darwin on that list, I knew I couldn’t take it seriously.
