It detects sites set up on Blogger or Wordpress and considers them as blogs. As blog searching becomes more popular, I bet some websites may have a blog component too. More importantly, just the tags based identification can lead to a lot of spammy links that increased the work for anyone looking to search indian blogs. We have ourselves seen this as a gap-waiting-to-be-filled and are looking for ways to add such a piece to the blogs section on indiagoes.com. I'll keep you posted as we get something ready for a beta preview.
