Bongo, thanks for that. I didn’t know Ikea sold those bulbs. Will pick them up next time I visit them.

Pat, since you mentioned Ikea in a previous post - they actually sell these bulbs for quite cheap. We changed almost all the lamps in our household to these bulbs. Best thing is that you dont have to keep replacing the bulbs.

Sqrl, I thought so that it might be local Wal-Mart to blame but I was disappointed at not getting any especially after the hype. Yeah, they are expensive but since I was buying just one, it didn’t hit that hard.

Chris, thanks for that link. I just needed one though. The four-pack for $12 sounds like a good deal.

Well our Walmart was practically overflowing with those squiggly bulbs..( you know in the aisle, on the floor, on the racks, just everywhere) I think it might have been a problem with the Walmart in your town. In fact when I bought them, there were more of these than the regular bulbs in stock…

Yes they are a lot more expensive, but I guess if you dont have to buy them often enough, it shouldn’t be much of a problem…
