Dozens (45 at last count) die as a series of bomb blasts rock Egypt. CNN is busy showing Larry King interviewing Tammy Faye Messner but Fox is showing brief news snippets of the blasts squeezed among squabbles over a political art piece.
Don’t these qualify as terror attacks too? Where is the round-the-clock news coverage?

Dude. Why SHOULD there be round-the-clock news coverage in the American media about an event that ordinary Americans do not care about?

No, media decides to show, based on it’s assumption about what people would like to see.
I read (though am not sure) that most of the americans cant locate Vietnaam on the map

They probably couldnt find any cute blondes who survied the bomb blast to put on TV so its not worth showing on TV

Kuttan, yeah! but they did manage to find babe during the Ukraine Orange revolution…heck, managed to find some in Uzbekiztan too. Surely Egypt has its share of babe (not blondes though)

I was pretty surprised by the lack of coverage in US media. My wife saw a brief news flash on TV Asia and told me. When I switched to Fox News, MSNBC, CNN, there was not even a mention of that incident! I had to check Yahoo! News to make sure that indeed there was a terrorist attack in Egypt. Surprisingly, this even after a couple of foriegners (Brits, Italians) also died! So much for a global war on terror. How was the coverage on this incident in India?

It only counts as ‘terror’ when white people are involved. Remember, there was NO terrorism in the world before 9/11. Kashmir etc. were just third world people killing each other. Too bad the chickens came home to roost!
PS: Will Rambo fight alongside the ‘Mujahideen’ in the next instalment? Stupid Americans…
