Nothing more hilarious than this headline. PoK students want seats in IIM/IITs:
Students of Gilgit-Baltistan in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir have demanded reservation for them in India’s elite educational institutions.
“We want quotas in the Indian Institute of Management, the Indian Institute of Technology and law colleges of India. India should not ignore us,” said Shafquat Ali Inqlabi, a resident of Gilgit, told rediff.com. Inqlabi, a political activist, says, “India should either accept us as Indians or give up claim on the territory.“
Did someone tell them that they must be a part of India first? Inqlabi, the guy who sprouts wisdom in the last line above seems to have got the order of things mixed up.

I propose some long overdue reservations on the blogosphere… 42.77777777… (recurring)% of posts on DesiPundit and other such aggregator sites will be for bloggers with low site-hits (to be arbitrarily stipulated). Too long have we been treated as second class citizens. :-D

Bongo,
I hate to be commenting after you because then Patrix will reply and you know what ‘’someone” will say. :)
But I second it. I demand 49.5%. Nothing less.
Also, half the comments from more popular blogs would be randomly assinged to us along with half of the fan e mail.
Wows, Now I feel good:)

Confused, don’t mind too much what “someone” says :) and certainly don’t let it affect your commenting habits; after all I don’t have much to look fwd to on my blog anyway.
Bongo, now that would make a cracker of a post worthy of linking on DesiPundit *hint hint* especially since I am dying to read something original on the reservations issues after ploughing through a dozen tip-offs every day protesting or favoring reservations with the same ghissa-pitta reasons.

Patrix - the blogging reservation idea is not too original - I think Amit (Varma) mentioned something similar when the debate first broke out. I just ‘internalized’ it. :-)

Bongo, there you have the reservations angle as well as the Kaavya angle…two birds etc etc. Don’t make me write it; it’ll never make it on DesiPundit :)
