Pakistan bans Da Vinci

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or email alerts. Thanks for visiting!

It turns out that Pakistan is more ’secular’ than India. Only five Indian states have banned The Da Vinci Code but Pakistan has gone a step further and banned the movie from the entire country. Authorities in Pakistan said, “the government will not allow any movie that has controversial scenes about any prophet.” I wonder what made Pakistan suddenly consider the opinions of its Christian minority community. Would a similar ban be enforced if suppose the Hindu minorities had demanded a ban on the movie, Fire? No matter how many regions and countries continue to ban the movie, Dan Brown is already rich beyond his wildest dreams.

    Pat,

The loonies hav found a great excuse. So next time they have a ready made excuse when a movie questioning their Prophet is made. Notice what the minister said-”Any Prophet”

But what to say? When in our own country 5 states have banned the movies.Pathetic!
