QOTD for Google Print

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or email alerts. Thanks for visiting!

…by Meghaan Marco, author who wishes her book to be included in the index for Google Print:

I have no problem with my book being indexed by your site. In fact, I wish it was!
Someone asked me recently, "Meghann, how can you say you don’t mind people reading parts of your book for free? What if someone xeroxed your book and was handing it out for free on street corners?"

I replied, "Well, it seems to be working for Jesus." [via]

Excellent! Truly, words reach further when they aren’t restricted by frivolous lawsuit. Kottke asks his patrons who have published books for an opinion.  This issue is getting interesting. I am definitely going to keep a tab on this.

I think only a handful of Barista’s have the book-stores within them…Out of the three I visited this summer, one of them had a bookstore.

Jinal, thanks. It certainly is an interesting trend. I would definitely like to see it spread. But somehow don’t trust a “chain” coffee shop with it.
