Vietnamese kids are more likely to respect their parents. Yup, even more than Indian kids. So Karan ‘it’s all about loving your parents’ Johar, there goes your parampara; the VietCong seems to have done a better job. Or we just are a servile kid nation. And so much for bashing the Amreeki bachhe, they aren’t that far behind the desi kids. It is the Dutch brats that need the ’somebody’s gotta get hurt’ treatment. Hope you’re taking precautions, Chetan :)

I agree with the person—on that thread—that said:
Taking precautions to ensure submission? Never!
Earning respect is hard, even if it is from your own children; at the same time, children are more forgiving, than adults, to their parents’ follies. It is only fair to expect that parents live up to being good, passionate, rolemodel, caring, guiding and inspiring, in order to earn it. I can tell you it’s a tough job.
