Shame on Sanjay

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or email alerts. Thanks for visiting!

Sanjay Kumar, once the poster-boy for Indian success in the Silicon Valley has been sentenced to 12 years imprisonment and fined $8 million. Sanjay was the former CEO of Computer Associates that employs almost 15,000 people worldwide. It was the first software firm to clock up $1 billion in sales in 1989 [source].

All this even before the dot com boom and I bet, in the company’s days of glory, Sanjay must have been heralded as one heck of a genius and if he had achieved that success a little later aka in the public eye, he might have been even termed as an Indian Bill Gates. I just hope that the current heroes of the business world aren’t found to be involved in murky deals at a later date. Bigger they are, harder they fall, eh?
