The Shiv Sena does it again! Blaming the girls’ fashion trends for rape. Saamna, the Sena mouthpiece has this retarded but priceless statement:
‘‘There seems to be a competition among youngsters to show their undergarments in the name of ‘below-waist’ fashion…It is no longer feasible for a family to roam on Chowpatty. To see girls dangle a cigarette openly is worrisome. If a man is incited by such clothes, who can one blame?’’
I cannot understand why can’t they just keep their trap shut when they are still stuck in chauvinistic dark ages. If the Sena really stands for ‘Marathi Manoos’, I am ashamed to be a Maharashtrian.
Update: Amit Varma rightly points out that it is in fact we, the people of India who are to blame for such a pathetic attitude.

J - Mumbai has lost its cosmopolitan charm after the moral police took over. I was shocked to hear that you cannot roam the public places with your wife/girlfriend without being reprimanded. WTF?

The Sena never stood for Marathi manoos. They just stood for themselves, jacking.
