“Slimes” of India, Hai Hai

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or email alerts. Thanks for visiting!

The Slimes slimy intentions of attempting to control media criticism has finally caught the attention of the international blog media. As Chien(ne)s Sans Frontières reports, "Mark Glaser of Online Journalism Review has written an excellent column about the shutdown of Mediaah! blog and it’s echoes".

I had written about the issue few days back comparing it to the Apple’s action on clamping down on Mac rumor blogs. But now, I change my opinion and agree that Slimes’ action are far more serious. I hope the Indian blogosphere gets its act together and unite against media criticism. Shanti and Ravages have already made their intentions clear. If nothing, you can write about this issue on your blog and spread the word. Give the Slimes lot of bad publicity. Benevolent folks might want to cover their eyes; this can get real bloody.

Update: TechDirt has a post on the issue too.
