Rajagopal, Kaps, Oops! thanks for pointing that out. I bet they put that in just to confuse us readers :)

MumbaiGirl, The quality of the "copied" furniture can be much better than the flatpack variety, you may be right but sometimes we tend to overdesign our furniture and design it to last more than we care for it to last. But as you say it best, you do it with clothes and Indian tailors too, maybe its in our blood :)

I'd do the same, I think, particularly if I had my Bombay sutaars here in London. The quality of the "copied" furniture can be much better than the flatpack variety...us girls do the same with clothes and Indian tailors!

Rajagopal is right...it is just a coincidence of name.....not to be confused with the real Arundhati Roy.

I don't think it is Arundhati Roy - it is some other person called Arundhati Ray. I made the same mistake on first reading and had to read it over once again.
