Not Affective Enough

Thanks for visiting!“According to Heath, the governor was unable to be affective while she was constantly having to defend herself against ethics complaints and the media” [source]. Why Health Advice on ‘Oprah’ Could Make You Sick

You may worship Oprah and consider her the Second Coming but this takedown in Newsweek on her proclivity to promote false science is compelling. No one should be above doubt and just because Oprah says so, it always ain’t so.

Newspaper Innovation

The latest offering The NYT TimesReader 2.0 is one of the coolest app I’ve seen from a traditional media company. It is powered by Adobe Air and is styled almost like a print newspaper giving it a friendly familiar feel. Pwning Pat Buchanan

Lawrence O’Donnell pwned Pat Buchanan on MSNBC [youTube] yesterday on the media-created Obama – Notre Dame issue. Note how Buchanan always laughs and sips water toward the end when he knows he’s beat. If only more Democrats had the gumption to call on the conservatives BS. I for one, cannot understand why Buchanan is still [...]

Roger Ebert smacks Bill O’Reilly

In which Bill O’Reilly gets a new one…from Roger Ebert. One of the best smackdowns of Papa Bear in recent times especially the last paragraph.

Bob Dylan’s Obama musings

Are reporters really interested in opinions of the people they are interviewing or just looking to stir up a faux controversy? Check out an excerpt from an interview of Bob Dylan by Bill Flanagan in the Times (UK):
Bill Flanagan: What struck you about him?
Bob Dylan: Well, a number of things. He’s got an interesting background. [...]
